: thinks about it: ok... I'm just gonna say stuff off the top of my head
with little thinking. The first thing I would do is put all effort to
change the image of the party ...
so PR... we got a pr problem nationally AND abroad. I would deal with
the nitty gritty of it without excuse. My goal would be to change
the perception abroad since that is where the new strategy must
be effective.
The new strategy is how to negotiate... the art of negotiation, the
art of influence, the art of cooperation. ok.. now what would I do...
First of all I would cut out all this anti-Obama stuff because first
of all, its ineffective, with marches that have Obama dressed in
african garb with maxist, socialism etc written on cards...
That hurts my international image as a viable, intellectual party.
It insults potential countries I want to do business with and
influence ... and it make me look like a party of dumb bunnies.
What I would do is start co-opting victories Obama make, as
a Republican idea. And have a lot of writers NOT go in lock-step
but cast a broad net of possible steps the Administration can do,
and when he does, Claim it as a victory for AMERICA and
make sure that a Republican/Conservative name stay in front
of the event.
See I know I would want to inherit a certain foundation from
the present adminstration and so would not get people used to
disrespecting the office that I want my party to have.
Also if I could co-opt the victories as Republican ones... then the
extreme left would have to stop their learning right now, how to
work these new strategies and start attacking Obama because we're
not wasting our time like that any more.
See, right now they're learning these arts while we're wasting our time.
So I would be saying good job Obama, do you know our writer
RTY outlined that very same move 2 months ago in her/his article
UIO. See what I mean? We have co-opted the victory as our
own strategy.
Like this UN speech of Obama... if we had had a writer with that view
then we could have said, Obama has taken the direction of our
conservative writer GhI and as GhI outlined, used that direction
to bring China and Russia closer in line to what is good for America...
So you see what i mean? instead of going against that speech, and not
then being able to capitalized on the victory of nations outside of our
alliances moving closer to us, I could capitalize on it.
Rare, see I would have seen the move coming...
Why? Because we have less money... think about this... less money
means we better push non-proliferation... now this economic mess...
did it affect iran economy? If it didn't then how do you stop iran or
any economy from purchasing or getting nuclear tech etc...
if you have less money to spend and they have more, then push
non-proliferation for sure... but you need countries not your ally... see what
I mean?
So... if I was in charge of the party, I would see that I need to
have international respect and start working on that... I would make
sure we had writers out there projecting a variety of next logical move...
and as soon as Obama makes it, find the right writer who wrote
that move up and then relate it publicly as a Republican step
already thought about and good for America.
I would also do this so the people can start to associate Republican with
America and not so much with anti anything... the game is persuasion
with a broad influence... and negotiation... frankly thats how Obama
is effective. We can say what we want but to ignore this is to ignore
what works.
I would on a practical level get that law back that separates investment
banking from commercial banking. Right away to convince the American
middle class that we care about their money... I know my banker
associates would think I was the devil but we're talking about influence
now.
They would just have to wait... so that is what I would do. Also I would
point out to them if
we're gonna move toward an investment/saving
economy and not a consumer economy, we got to help people feel
their money is safe with banks again.
So those are some of my crazy ideas that I would do.
Oh... I would give free classes to members about global constructs.
And would go as slow as possible... using football references.
