I DO see the problem and that's why i said that's the reason they left Bush off the list (in my opinion). I dont' trust any magazine these days, so it's not really anything new. Even PBS is getting into the game...look at the docs they banned. PBS!?!

Still the most fair: CSPAN. Ann Coulter one day and Air America the next. Can't be more balanced than that, lol.

Try again. This is not the "real reason." Osama Bin Laden is on the list.

Osama may not be popular with us, but he is with others--and he is certainly influential. The list is about the world, not just the USA.

You've got to be kidding me.
Yes, Cil I am aware the list is regarding the world, not just the USA. If you think Osama Bin Laden is "popular" with others I think you have been hangin out with Michael Moore and Rosie too long!!!
He may be "popular" with a few radicals but if it is popularity based I think GWB would be a tad more popular than OBL.

Spunky, just because you and I hate Bin Laden does not mean everybody else does.
But actually, I am really not trying to say is that the list is based on popularity.
Influence and popularity are not interchangeable.

Cil, I was just pointing out that it is ridiculous to state as you did that maybe the reason Bin Laden is on the list because he is popular.
Osama Bin Lauden is a terrorist and he is not by anyones definition popular. Except maybe around his fellow cave-dwellers.

And I am trying to point out that you don't *have* to be popular to be influential. But like it or not, Bin Laden is popular with some, and like it or not, he has influenced many lives--and he is still out there.
Do I think this is a good thing?
No, but it wouldn't matter if I did.
It is what it is.

What has he done that has been influential? He has no leadership skills.
