Where did I claim ALL liberals? I clearly said what I have read, and SOME postings. I do note though you ignored

Isnt that kinda the idea, It would be very difficult for you to speak for ALL liberals, even though you attempted to without asking all of them. I can ONLY speak for "one", I am only one person, if you are speaking for more than one, then seek help for multiple personalities..

Really, you both would have been better off not responding if your not going to talk about the topic of the thread. hijacking is a violation of your TOS, and I really hate spending time to make fools out of those who clearly want to attack anything I say rather than enter into a discussion.

What was I thinking...to believe you would see the hypocrisy in your statement without resorting to twist and spin

p.s. the name of the book is "Arguing with idiots", just for clairification..

You would do better to either seek hire office considering you would fit in well. or seek help for that spinning disease you have going on

If you had to suggest your to individuals who you think is so far out there that they would never get it, what would you suggest they read?

Not so much on a political "opinion" but on life in general.

Mine
Richest Man in Babylon
The Millionaire Next Door
US Constitution

1984, Animal Farm, Farenheit 451, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, and Anthem.

The left hates these books, as it shows the evils of socialism/communism. I would also read the personal history of Karl Marx- a poluted philosophy from a polluted mind.

I'd just advise them to study the history of nations such as the Soviet Union, Red China, Cuba and North Korea, and contrast them with the United States, Hong Kong and Singapore. I'd also recommend traveling from Moscov to Hong Kong, which is an experience that is almost certain to turn people away from statism. Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" and Henry Hazlitt's "Economics In One Lesson" are also very effective.

The Ant and the Grasshopper

It shows how Socialism (bunch of do-good ants) could always be counted on to rescue a wayward Libertarian (hedonistic grasshopper).

In the end, the grasshopper had to sing for his supper, but he was glad to do so because it was 40 below outside.

Well, I didn't actually read the book, I just saw the cartoon.

With Socialism, it's always a "happy ending" - hey, check out those Denmarkians!

I was thinking of going over there and singing them a tune or two. Doesn't look like they're capable of doing it themselves.

Work on your reading comprehension, 1984 was about fascism, not socialism.

Books are pretty worthless if you can't understand things.

The Millionaire Next Door is a terrific book. It could have been written about my Grandmother.

I keep a copy of the Constitution next to my keyboard and refer to it frequently. It is IMHO the best owner's manual ever devised for a country.

Not familiar with The Richest Man In Babylon, but will hunt it down tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion.

Anytime socialism has need to go, and does go, autocratic, it's what?

If you're thinking the H-man . . Oh, never mind, it's just me.

If you vote for socialism, it's just socialism.

If it's forced on you, it's fascism?
