Think about the news source and consider that the person is probably in the extreme right-wing of Israeli society. This is more like Rush Limbaugh saying this on Fox News than a government or military official saying this to all of the news media.
well i dont think israel is going to go under, i think living there is going to be not much fun. i think they should all move to louisiana, much cheaper for all parties concerned. trust me, the when the west pulls out, arab countries will not stop fighting.

I know I'd heard from fairly reliable sources in the 60s and 70s that the Israelis had Death Star contingencies, with nuclear strikes on Moscow and other sources of support for their mortal enemies a likely event should it appear Israel was to be overrun and slaughtered.
On a smaller scale, you can bet there are a couple of battle rifles per household, at least, and people who know how to use them. Like Switzerland.
While it doesn't deter everyone, most rational enemies are not going to go into a situation where they will lose personnel in a 10: or 20: 1 ratio.
