if they are stupid enough to go there and then stay after the police tells them to leave, then they get what they get
I do not feel sorry for them at all

maybe next time they will remember they are in with the big boys
that are serious and do not have time to play games
they should not have been there to begin with
Maybe next time someone will shoot back...
Obeying an illegal order provides no legal protection.
they should not have been there in the first place
they were in their dorm. they stepped outside, onto the stairs, to see what was going on.
the police gave them an order that was impossible to obey. you don't see a problem with that? they were trying to obey the orders but they couldn't. one set of cops was telling them to up and the other was telling them to go down. what exactly did they learn? don't go on the stairs of their dorm to see what's going on outside the next time something unusual is going on, because the police might pen them in and teargas them?
unbelievable what some people will try to justify.
WoW, I dunno what the rioting is about (didn't care to look ). But it's heartwarming such antics do happen in America.
My college years outside America were full of such incidents. I can really connect, having hurled several glass bottles at cops and their vehicles during student unrest. We never believed in any ideology. We just went for the party.

they were told to disperse, they did not
no, I see no problem at all, the police had an order to have these people disperse, and the students were told that they could suffer further harm by not doing so, it was the students at fault by standing around taking pictures, asking dumb ass questions and refusing to do what they were told.
How many world leaders were in their city at the time?
Good grief, don't the police have enough to deal with with out this bull crap??
I was at a lawful protest years ago here in Atlanta, we were protesting
George Bush, sr
we were surrounded by police and secret service was up our rear ends
we did exactly what we were told or we would have been hauled off
these students put their selves at risk by thinking they are above it all, if my kid were out there acting like that I would say, haul her ass to jail
maybe she might learn a lesson.

You know, that is just plain lame. The police blocked the stairs at the top and bottom, then told them to leave.
