On the other hand:

U.S. consumer sentiment rose in late September to the highest since January 2008 as expectations of an economic rebound continued to grow, a survey showed on Friday.
The Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers said its final index of sentiment for September rose to 73.5 from 65.7 in August. This was above economists' median expectation for a reading of 70.3, according to a Reuters poll.
The index of consumer expectations rose to 73.5, its highest in two years, from 65.0 in August.

I'm sure you're hoping really hard for that. If you pray hard enough maybe the whole nation will collapse and people will be dying in the streets. That would be great, huh?

"Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling the economy?"
50% APPROVE, 40% DISAPPROVE, 10% unsure.

Source: CBS News/New York Times Poll. Sept. 19-23, 2009. N=1,042 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3

When you use Rasmussen as your only source, you will get a distorted view of America.

I really love it when these folks try to blame a President who has been in office for 8 months for everything bad and they do not mention the one that was in the 8 years prior. I guess all the bad stuff started in January.

I love the fact that their claims are so easily debunked!

Obama must have liked the economic policies of the last 8 years.

He hasn't done anything to change them. Hope and change has turned into status quo.

When you don't understand how to read a poll, confusion reigns.

Handling the economy is not the same question as how you think the economy is doing.

Considering his number USED to be in the high 60's and now he is hovering around 50% and given that the poll has 15% more democrats than republicans....this is not something to be crowing about.
