Obama Addresses Hitler Reference on Health Debate at Black Caucus Conference (Congress, Pelosi)

"He says, 'We don't understand it. You're trying to make sure everybody has health care and they're putting a Hitler mustache on you. That doesn't make sense to me,"' Obama said, quoting the world leader he declined to identify.

Animosity toward the president and his policies has bubbled up in recent weeks, most notably with Rep. Joe Wilson shouting "You lie!" at Obama during the president's recent health care speech to Congress.

Democrats from former President Jimmy Carter on down have blamed the increasingly harsh criticism of Obama on racism.

Obama says it's not racism but an intense debate over the proper role of government.

Before he began to speak, Obama walked to a podium facing the audience from the right side of the stage before he was directed to another one -- the one affixed with the presidential seal -- on stage left.

"They don't want me to be on the right," he joked. "This is the CBC."

I guess Obama never so similar signs making Bush look like Hitler.........I'm not saying that I approve the signs, but at least don't act like he is the first president that had something like this happen to him....and it all started to get worse when Pelosi started to call Town Hall attendencies, called brown shirt's with swastika's and wasn't it Obama who played the race card on the Clinton's...

Obama is really a sensative and biased man with a short memory!

He also forgets that the group he was speaking to has members that accused Republicans of spreading HIV and crack in an attempt to kill minorities. LOLS. And accused Bush of purposely killing people in New Orleans.

And then people couldn't figure out why Bush decided to no longer address the NAACP convention???????? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

What the hell are you talking about? You quoted Obama repeating what was said to him. An unidentified "world leader" made the comment expressing the confusion about the Hitlerization of Obama over his trying to provide something taken for granted in the rest of the developed world. Even that wasn't a complaint on the signs, but a comment about the people waving them.

How is this "acting like he is the first president something like this happened to"?? How does that make him "really a sensitive and bias man with a short memory"??
