Gee, they prohibit guns in the UK (for the most part) and what happens? Death by Knife goes up. And now, the Boy Scouts can't even carry a pocket knife. Next thing to be banned in the UK will be steak knives!

Being unable to defend yourself is even more "foolish" and "senseless."
And, being a "fool" saved my families lives some years ago.
Both my wife and I carry concealed weapons. We own quite a few firearms. We keep rifle (30/30 Marlin) on the porch to take care of the occasional "critter" like Javelina. We actually enjoy our firearms - aside from the protection issues - we have a shooting range literally out our back door - and we do our own "competitions" quite frequently - with our friends and neighbors joining in.
So, don't be so hard on us "foolish" people - we are not a bad lot
