SACRAMENTO, CA - The owner of an AM/PM gas station explained Monday what led to an incident that offended one of his customers.

Lou Saechou told News10 he regretted the words used by a clerk to identify Helen Hodges in a note to a fellow clerk following a mix-up at a gas pump last week, but said the clerk had few options.

Yes, but you're not supposed to say so. Remember, this is the USA--United Sensitivities of America. Think whatever you want to, but under no circumstance are you supposed to say it out loud. Or even look ominous while having your seditious thoughts.

"It says 'black lady,' and I can understand that because I am a black lady," Hodges told News10. "But I don't get 'big fat.' I don't get that part."
Look in the mirror lady...

Thus is retail. Trust me, when I was in retail we would make fun of basically everyone that came in there. Wearing a weird shirt? A little overweight? Have odd hair? Were you a little snippy with a cashier? Trust me, all employees converge in the break room and talk crap about customers. It just usually stays in the break room

Plus, it looks like the lady 'demanded' her money back, the cashier was probably pissed because usually only a manager can ok refunds so she probably couldn't have done it anyway, without getting approval (hence, the wait time). I'm sure the customer got angry and started demanding and the retaliation was writing on the receipt that a 'big fat black lady' wanted her money back. I'm not necessarily condoning it, but it looks like simple angry retaliation.

The news station that published this deserves as much criticism as the lady who made this a big deal. The clerk was rude but does that mean we publicize every time a person receives an offensive remark.

LOL well MAYBE not to you but the power of the press will give the station a headach from hell-o and back untill the owner parts with something to sooth the hurt feelings .. some folks just need to let go of things but because she(fat broad) went to the media she aint the type and she will get some pain relief in the form of a large check.. trust me its the way things work in this world anymore Money can buy pain relief ..
