I'm confused,

A couple of weeks ago, I recall a thread that was started when it was announced that they would be laying off USPS workers as well as going to 5 days a week mail delivery. Those on the Right were in a uproar and in typical Right wing style blamed this administration for kicking these workers under the bus and refusing to bail them out.

So...what exactly am I missing here?

not sure, it was a thread dealing with the closure of USPS offices. Many anti-government posters were upset that these offices were closing, poorly managed government adding to unemployement, adding to realestate pool, kicking the workers under the bus. yada yada yada.

I'm still waiting on that link where it says career letter carriers are being laid off.

My dad retired way back when (30+ years ago) from the USPS and even then there was talk of a 5 day delivery. How'd that work out???

Since you appear to be directing this to me, you must assume that I am all for this too. Well...you're wrong. I'm for hard working people getting ahead and not being taken advantage of. I'm not for lazy, do-nothings (no matter what title they hold) getting anything. I'm not defending any check casher. There are some people who might as well stay home and get their checks mailed to them. They get in the way more than anything. I would do anything for my peers who have a work ethic. The ones who don't pretty much get non-personed by me.
