Why do people continue to insinuate this myth that Obama is somehow a socialist? And that socialism is somehow a bad thing?
If Obama really was a socialist, then why do the corporations still own and control the country? How could he have supported bailing out the banks and the auto industry if he were socialist? If he really was a socialist, then wouldn't he be fighting for single payer/UHC instead this half assed "health care reform?"
Simple, Obama isn't a socialist, he's a corporatist.
