That has been debunked. It was a clip of songs kids had made up to honor ALL their heroes. Whoever made the video conveniently left out all the other songs. Criticize the guy all you want for his policies, but drop the inappropriate drama.

You disregarded the remainder of my post. That explains the absurdity of this thread.
Since when have conservatives given a hoot about the unemployed?

They don't. They believe in the free market and unemployment is a necessary side effect of a market correction. To intervene to try to mitigate unemployment is socialism to a conservative. They don't actually care about unemployment, they just use it to criticize the President.

These quotes were from a thread about work ethic but this is pretty the rights view on the unemployed. The right blames the unemployed for not having a backup plan or for not starting their own business.

Jadex
Work ethic? Who needs that. We can sit on our butts and let others take care of us now.
Plus why work hard to earn more so the gov can take it.
Dont you love this change

The progressive ideologues spread their indoctrinating ideology throughout our school systems creating selfish, lazy people looking for handouts from the nanny state.

How's the "change" working?

Just a reminder of obama's claims;

It is simple. Just change the graph and everything is better!

Sadly, the real unemployment rate is 17%, if we include the people who are no longer looking for jobs and those who have taken part time jobs. Also, for historic comparisons, the Clinton admin started putting the military in employment statistics. Therefore, the real unemployment rate is over 20% compared to the pre-Clinton era. Nice work there, Bammer. Socialism will become more appealing when the country is on its knees, so I think Bammer is pleased with his "work".

A totally absurd statement. Of course people on the right care about the plights of people who are unemployed, anyone who has been around the block a few times has been unemployed, and no one wants to see people suffer that fate. This is one reason we on the right are so frustrated with 0bama's policies, he is doing nothing to stimulate job growth, he and his party are doing everything they can to stifle it, and raise taxes on everything from Coca-Cola to the air we exhale.

You believed in 0bama's promises, that if we passed his stimulus plan, things would be coming up roses, and since they aren't, you have to create a boogieman to vent on, because otherwise you would have to admit you were wrong to have put your blind faith in this inexperienced, junior senator from Chicago, who has a 5 minute resume.

Your problem - you voted for 0bama, and you feel his conyinued failures may reflect badly on you. In order to justify your previous support for 0bama, and your ongoing suport, you have to paint the republicans as evil and wicked. This way you create an imaginary straw man scenario, that if the eeeeee-vile republicans were running the show, things would be much worse. "Golly, 0bama is not so bad, because the republicans would have made things worse - because they are evil."

So, whenever I see folks like you make absurd statements like this, I understand why.

I'm tired of all the bickering going back and forth. When are we all as Americans going to get together and start making our govt. start making the right choices for us. It doesn't matter at this point who got us here, it matters how we fix it so we can financially impact our children and grandchildren as minimally as possibly. Both parties are equally to blame.

If obama has his way, the deficit and debt spending will go on unabated. His budget already has a deficit of $9 Trillion, he will at least double the debt.

Why can't we make our own choices?

There certainly are a number of bitter, unhappy posters who frequent this forum, hoping for the worst for our country. They are best left to stew in their own bile.
