It's the "I got mine" mentality that's a hallmark of lib thinking. Obamacare, SS, clunkers, whatever. Give it to me now and let others pay the bill back later. It is the new American way.

The only benefit we've seen from the the Cash for Clunkers Program is that it took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road!
It probably stimulated the purchase of replacements and as we all know, bumper stickers are a significant part of the economic engine towards progress...
There will be a bailout for the banks that lose money on these loans too!!

Wow, don't know the difference between a "trickle up effect" and the "trickle down effect"?
Hey, for what it's worth, we've been working alot of hours, including Saturdays because of the Cash for Clunkers deal. That means more disposable income to help with an already anemic economy.
I know what a rat hole is, and I know what unsustainable debt is too. I also know that a child born today owes $150,000 for our past spending. Does that help?
With our current trade agreements and heavily unionized, taxed and regulated manufacturing the only trickle up effect will be felt in Mexico and China. Thank Clinton for NAFTA and China's permanent MFNTS. We are borrowing money from China to buy Chinese big screens, and no matter how much OT you put in, the multiplier effect is China's alone.
When many of the new car buyers can't pay the monthly payments on their new cars, maybe we can do a government sponsored car buy back/loan forgiveness program.
Just park your car on the dealership lot and run away.
