Only if it's an extremely primitive one.

Default " Religion" + "Politics"... = Mega-Movement ???

Further consideration of this question at once suggests the
very real possibility that America's considerable numbers of
so called "Right" or "Conservative idealogy advocates... may
well have advanced to the next logical step..... Yes a dynamic
step that has been so often denoted in the great tomes of
World History.....

Without doubt the "Right is growing in sheer numbers...
Tremendous numbers of concerned "American Citizens" are
actively participating in what has been up to now considered
a unique & dedicated "Political Movement".....

And yet the intriguing implications of perhaps more... yes!...
the distinct indication of a (melding) if you will..... of political
movement and religious base .... The enormous power and
possibilities of such a combined and potent force loosed upon
the national and global scene are "Infinite"

Postulations ? ..... Yes.... of course at this moment in time.

But may we never forget that the accurate accounts of
world history provide ample evidence of just such a "Profound
and Lethal" combination regarding (Mega-Movements) .....
perhaps very similar to the one in which America may well be
witnessing ... in it's beginning stages.....

As the tremendous power of the "Right" increases daily.....
Close obsevation of further developments will provide an
excellent opportunity to perhaps..... witness history
repeating itself..... Think Of It !!!

A rebuilding of "America's House" for the "American People"
may well be within sight... !!!

Thank You / L.F.

"Has the Right become a Religion?"
Not the Right. Capitalism has become America's religion. The Right comprise the most devout disciples.
Why?...
-it's infallible
-it is not be be questioned, because it's always right
-financial success is the highest good one can hope to achieve in life
-the meaning of life is business that produces profits
-the religion demands living sacrifices
-only ideas/actions which produce profits have any value

You are free to pursue whatever "highest good" you want. But I hope your "highest good" puts bread on the table, a roof over your head and provides for some medical insurance.

And thats when I take issue, is when you tax/take/ask me for a dollar to pursue your "highest good" which produces no profit to provide for yourself.

It is your right to pursue in life whichever financial venture you want. I agree.
I don't know where you get the idea that your money goes to other's "highest good".
I agree that you should not be required to pay taxes.

Well, Sean Hannity does confuse Reagan with Jesus, so I guess he has a point. But some conservatives are actually pretty sensible, even if I disagree with them on so many things. But those sensible ones don't listen to talk radio either.

And another commenter who didn't read the commentary.

Hint: it has nothing to do with actual religion. It has to do with how the right currently behaves - as if they were a religion.
