Even scare me. But not for his political agenda. My trepedation is shared by Victor Davis Hanson:

I am not a fan of the Obama agenda. But I am don’t want an impotent Commander in Chief abroad for three very dangerous years to come. So I am worried that the U.S. will be crippled with a weak, unpopular executive, as happened to Bush (35% approvals) in 2007-8. Our currency is tanking. Our debts are climbing. Our energy needs are breaking us. Our borrowing is out of control. The country is divided in a 1859/1968 mode. And the world is smiling as Obama, now hesitant and without the old messianic confidence, presides over our accepted inevitable decline. The country needs to buck up and meet these challenges head on, since the world smells blood, whether in Iran, Russia, the Mideast, North Korea, or South America, and in a mere 9 months of the reset button. Works and Days » Change and Hope

I would rather a strong, forceful president, even if I don't agree with his policies. There is an uncertainty, a hesitancy about Obama's actions. He sounds good reading that teleprompter, but his lack of actions belie his words. When the two week deadline he gave Iran runs out and Iran tells him to stuff it, what's he going to do, give them another three weeks?

The world is watching this president. IMO none of them are holding their breath.

I totally disagree with VDH. We need less war, not more. The USA is bankrupt over the Warfare State and the Welfare State. Obama is increasing our Welfare state, and he's done nothing to decrease our Warfare state, and he's let down all of his antiwar voters. Also, true conservatives do not like nation-building and unnecessary wars. China hold $1 trillion US dollars, and they will be investing in Iran. We are the losers here.

Why does any US president have to police the whole world ? The American Dream has turned into tossing and turning all night for many.

VDH is not advocating ruling or policing the world, you are choosing to interpret this article your way.

Obama is a wonderful orator, but a terrible leader. He attempted to inflict radical change on an America that just wanted a change of president. His programs threaten our taxes, our medical system, our cars, our homes...but at the same time we appear on the verge of losing the war in Afghanistan, Iran feels free to make fun of us, we run away from our allies in Poland and Eastern Europe.

There is an appearance of weakness about this president that's unnerving in this hostile world. He scares the hell out of me.

Americans wanted "Change", they didn't want Socialism... Unfortunately, that is all Obama is offering and threaten them with fearmongering (you'll pay more, you'll die, blah blah blah) if they don't accept his Socialism... I like it when he says, You will be worse off, if you don't accept my socialism and then holds HOSTAGE any reform with a bit of more socialism attached to it...

So true!

I too, wonder just how many folks out there, voted for Obama and NOW.......seriously regret that decision?
The same could be said about a LOT of people who voted for GW for a second term!
After his first term.....it was very clear to me that we needed new leadership. But, I never even voted for GW......not once, or twice because I didn't care for him, his policies and the direction I saw this country heading under his administration.
NOW....we, as a nation, went from 2 terms of a horrible president......to a president that is much, much worse with HIS "idea" for the direction of this nation!
His "idea" STINKS and makes me feel as though America HAS ALREADY been taken over by our biggest enemies and NOW.....forcing US all to ACCEPT Socialism or Communism HERE?!
This MUST be the "answer" to all our problems?
SICK JOKE.....nothing more and nothing less!
Hope YOU Dems. thoroughly enjoy YOUR time at the helm of this ship.......because it WILL be short!
America went from the frying pan....into the fryer by electing THIS masterpiece. Obama might just as well, produce ONE video of himself gabbing........and then just keep repeating it EVERY day. It would be just as effective if he did. Americans LOVE watching his glorious face and listening to his oh, so articulate voice too.
When all is said and done with just 1 term of Obama.......we'll likely be VERY blackened and crisp, without much hope, deeper in debt and in far more trouble than ANYTHING we have seen in the better part of a full century!
This final paragraph.......was in NO way, meant to be construed as any racial pun for all you Libs. to "point out" to me.....in such the eloquent, loving way, you are known for.

Very true. He, basically, has neutered himself and this country. It is the uncertainty in Obama that makes for insecurity in the world, and those who sense our weakness are emboldened.

That's the real reason for tossing and turning at night (for those of you who do), and you can thank Obama for that.

Imagine how helpful Iran will be to our cause once they are a nuclear power. I invision an Islamo-fascist version of N. Korea only without the responsible government.

Wow! I hear a whole orchestra of violins, here.

This administration inherited a bad economy, a worldwide financial crisis, a humongous debt, a war that is winding down, a war that is continuing, a nutjob country that has been the thorn in the side of Presidents since Carter, another nutjob country that has been a thorn in the side of Presidents since Truman, a unilateral foreign policy, a secret energy policy, a divided supreme court, a bickering and divided congress, and a frustrated population.

And that's only the short list of BS.

Presidents come and go, problems persist. This president hasn't even been in office for a year and many of you fortunetellers are already writing him off. Do your crystal balls actually work? Give him a chance, let's see what his policies do.

For crying out loud, this country survived a friggin' War of Independence, a Civil War, and a Great Depression. But you paranoid maniacs don't think it can stand against a change in policy?

Jeez, buck up!
