What is the problem with Americans? When one looks at the politics and other controversies overview page, every other thread is about Obama's alleged failures. The way I see it those alleged failures are nothing but the fantasies of all those millions of bad losers among the American electorate, who are very antidemocratic as they don't accept the wish of the majority of voters.

Before you haters overjoy, remember that it is your country, he is your president, too. If he fails, it will backfire on your entire country and eventually you as well.
Also think of the alternative. With McCain and Palin you would be even worse off, maybe already mourning thousands of additional dead soldiers in Iran.

What's amazing is how the automaton-like response of the mere propagandist so quickly and uncritically led you into the OP. As much as even a little thought over the matter might have saved you quite a bit of error and embarrassment.
The point of the SNL skit is abundantly clear - no need for the kind of thought (spin) you're employing.

But Obama has been governing from the center, trying to bring everyone's voice into the choir. That kind of thing takes extra time, and what the SNL skit suggests is that such time is being wasted. These remaining Republicans are dug into their entrenched positions of simple opposition to everything, so don't bother with them. Here is the list of promises that the wasted time could have been used to advance. These are things that we voted for. How about a little dose of putting the pedal to the metal.

Governing from the center? The center of the communist party? This guy is the most far left president ever and his form of "compromise" is to say, "I won" (i.e. to hell with you).

He has a majority in the house and senate and has done NOTHING. The support of the house and senate should have been a rubber stamp mandate for any of his policies, yet the guy is such a twit, he can't accomplish ANYTHING, even in this environment. He is certainly no Lyndon Johnson, who could twist some arms and push through an agenda, whether you liked it or not.

I love how the left is now trying to rationalize Obama's failure and further embarasses themselves by saying that the economy is just fine now. What a laugh. At lease Obama will cure tha nation of socialism for another 30 years, just like Carter.

Saggy- what is that school where you are a professor of economics again? Moscow Tech?

That's never been at issue. The OP et seq suggests that the skit is evidence that even SNL is somehow now on board with the (absurd) right-wing claim of Obama's failure through having accomplished nothing. The actual piece is meanwhile notice that, as much as has been done, some folks on the left are getting a little tired of waiting for the rest of the package they voted for to be delivered.

Are you sure you are clear as to which side of the question you are really on?

How is one man supposed to rescue the US economy after just 9 months?

In case you have not realized, the US is part of the global economy. which in turn determines things these days. One of the big problems of the US is that it has outsourced so much production because of greed. Now your fate depends on the service sector, information, licensing etc., a fatal development, that has been going on for decades.

The point of the SNL skit was to make people laugh!! As in all SNL skits, exaggeration was in abundance. Has President Obama accomplished all he set out to do - of course not, he's only been in office 8 months. Will he accomplish all that he promised, almost asssuredly not - no President ever does. But to say he's accomplished "jack squat" is to exaggerate the negative while completely overlooking the positive - a major component of satire, which is SNL's specialty.

That you and your side are claiming the SKIT was a definitive assessment of President Obama's presidency is MAJOR thought spin.

Kind of desperate, while at the same time being ludicrous - typical combo for the right side of the aisle...
