Yeah. That take was subsumed into the "more and speedier action" bit. Didn't think it was that well camouflaged. The skit never makes any reference at all to lack of accomplishment (since that would be silly). It talks only about the need to get more of what was promised put onto an accelerated timetable.

Right-wingers have somehow yet to comprehend that increasingly the unease with Obama is coming not from new recruits to the Tea Party cause, but from those on the left who are growing tired of the let's all play nice together approach and are ready to just cut the extremists loose for the sake of needed progress.

It sure was, but that sort of went right over the lefties heads.

When you satirize public figures, there are key personality elements that you try to capture and expand upon. In Bush's case they made it a lack of independence, though he was like a kid looking towards Cheney for advice before taking action. With Clinton it was the girls and being slick. With Obama they apparently are starting to key in on him being all talk and little follow through.
You are so right and people that are not so partisan would/could see that.

Sure we were. Political satire is the funniest kind of humor, especially when you think both parties stink!

Nice take with the partisan slant.

On no I think they are all hilarious unlike some blind sheep on both sides. It is amazing how looking through partisan eyes can so distort reality.

Actually, I believe the skit, towards the end, basically said that almost a year into his administration and none of the major objectives have been accomplished.

Obama is getting discomfort from a few points of view though. As you correctly state, the core liberals are becoming frustrated with his lack of sticking to a specific expected outcome. Instead, he always seems to be negotiating. However, I don't believe he cares at all about the "Tea Party" members (or distant supporters), rather I think he is having extreme difficulties with pragmatic Democrats (Blue Dog).

When Palin was the butt of their humor, the OP and her cronies lambasted a variety of comedy sources as being leftist meanies, unfairly making fun of the nice lady simply because she was a conservative. Now he/she claims that the same leftist comedy sources are telling it like it is. Can't have it both ways - either they tell it like it is all of the time, or not at all...

If you think both parties stink, then you aren't part of the group to which I was referring.

Political humor is the best type of humor in my mind because it attacks a part of our nation that needs the most reform. Sure we laugh but there is also an underlying message for those that are willing to see it.
