Remind me never to send you to the grocery store. What you have here is a situation where a beautiful cut of lamb and the fresh garlic and rosemary are in the cart, as is a nice bottle of Beaune, but still no potatoes, or veggie, or nice dinner rolls. You desperately want to claim that a certain someone has not gone to the grocery store as he'd promised. SNL is saying hurry up and get through the checkout line with the rest of that stuff so we can get down to cooking dinner.

Simply by looking at the incontrovertible record of his first eight months in office. He's checked one item off the list after another. You could look it up.

I'm sorry saggy, they are saying nothing of the kind. They are all too visibly pointing out that he hasn't accomplished "jack squat", his checklist of things to do = No.

I am amazed at the level of desperation and spin - like anyone is going to believe you with the video right there for their viewing pleasure.

Gotta watch it again saggy, they are saying what everyone knows - "jack squat".

Play it back. The list in the first half is all of things that have not been accomplished because of the time frames involved. Close Guantanamo within a year was what he said, a deadline that he might not meet, but which is more than eight months. Out of Iraq is set and on schedule, but the schedule runs through 2011, and it's still 2009. Improve Afghanistan? More troops are in, new strategies are being implemented. We don't know when an end in Afghanistan will come, but no one claimed it would be "by now". Health Care? In the works and already further than any President has ever taken the matter. It'll be a done deal soon.

Then after the divider ("I just don't see why the right is so riled up. I mean how do you think the left feels? They're the ones that should be mad.") comes a list of promises on which there has been no or little progress. "I'm sure THEY thought I would have addressed at least one of these things by now." Then comes the growing litany of things that liberals are getting tired of seeing given second shrift. How clearly do they have to state it? Hey...get busy on some of this stuff too!!! That is the point.

You're leaving a LOT of commentary out of this.

The pull quote says it all - "jack squat" for his list of accomplishments.

I put that video on my Facebook pg. Both liberal and conservatives think it funny as heck. I agree with it.

Liberals should be very disappointed with Obama and conservatives should be ecstatic with him! Economy aside, he was elected because of those very issues listed in the video So far his supporters haven't seen squat! Conservatives couldn't get McCain elected. But in strange sense it didn't matter.

I chuckled a couple of times but I've seen funnier SNL skits...maybe it's the actor...his timing isn't as good as some of the others but hey the SNL cast isn't nearly as good as it used to be so I guess this is the best they can do.

The funniest thing to me is the person posted this...I could have sworn that SNL was evil...or is that only when they make fun of people you like?

Then you aren't a Democrat, you are only registered as one. Or a racist.

I certainly realize that some will cling to their comfortable fantasies rather than grapple with uncomfortable truths. But I work here every day. K Street to President's Park to Capitol Hill. Do you seriously think that your dancing sugar plum fairies are going to make some actual impression on me? The 8-month record is in the books. It is not as you decribe it, and neither is the SNL skit...

I think they are sticking their fingers in their ears and screaming:
"lalalalalalalalala"
and that is supposed to shut out the truth....
