We definetly have gone way too far in how much we trust the "Police".
What does race have to do with this? From now until 2012 is every other thread going to be "White Guy sneezes on Black guy w/o saying sorry, sign of American's growing racism"
not all police, remember there are good and bad people in all walks of life. With your attitude I hope you never need a policeman or woman to help you. As for black/white issue, come off it. I remember when there was real racism, 50 years ago. We have come so far. Yes, there is still a lot of room for improvement but the problems are not growing.
Doesn't sound like a race issue to me. Sounds like a police officer with issues who should not be allowed a badge. The real question is why the officer was back at work.
Racism could have been a factor. This is fort worth we are talking about. It's hillbilly nation there.
I doubt it. The officer that told him to shut up and escalated the hostile situation was black. The officer and the suspect screwed up. They both lost their cool. The officer shouldn't have told him to shut up to begin with. Please be quiet works much better. The suspect shouldn't have made any sudden movements around the officers when they approached him. That was very stupid.
Another clear indication the power of police is out of control. They are allowed to get away with crimes against others and nothing is done. I think Id feel safer with a private police force, one that can't hide behind the government shield. This cop caused the problem and then used his authority to assault this person. Then what is truly appalling is the other cops lining up to protect their own. Almost as revolting as the cops in West Palm Beach.

Did you check the hinge on your mouth before inserting your foot?
The cop was also black.
Good grief.
To the thread starter, your putting the race of the man who was tazed in the title shows clearly that you want this to be a "race issue"
It also proves who exactly is most fixated on RACE ISSUES.
Had you taken the time to consider the facts, you would have noticed that the cop was also black. If there is a crime here it is black on black crime NOT a racist cop from hillbilly Fort Worth....
Back to the brilliant mind pointing out Fort Worth is full of hillbillies.... There aren’t any hills in Fort Worth dude. Get your racist verbiage right. Fort Worth is a redneck cowboy town.
What a classic bit of asinine liberal drivel!
Both of you ought to get a whip and flagellate yourselves!
Blacks can hate their own color. Internalized racism.
Most people understand that "hillbilly" can also mean redneck, or roughneck.

Would you stop? Seriously, it's absurd.
Whatever happened to some cops simply being abusive, power-hungry a**holes? Jesus...
