Preliminary because the SFC submitted the "conceptual" language of the bill, leaving out those nasty little details.

I just have to ask; Do they thing they are going to get away with this?

Health bill costs estimated at $829B over decade - USATODAY.com

I love how your reaction is identical, regardless of what you are posting about.
And the CBO says the deficit is reduced by $81 billion.

In thinking about this..it might be cheaper to just forgo all insurance and pay the fine. That may be cheaper if I power down and don't make enough money..then that fine could come back to me as a tax credit.

Making my plans..going Galt in about 1 year..sooner if we crash.
Translation: You're retiring.....LOL

Why don't you encourage your own kids to "go Galt" Mr. Patriot.

Wrong..I am not retiring..I am powering down.
No debts and everything paid off. Getting a job that gives me enough to pay property taxes and the basic necessities.

Nice try to generalize me.

Can you direct to me to others like yourself that are "going galt" during their prime earning years?.....LOL

Maybe you have a support group? Or link?

I love a good laugh.

Try google. You'd be surprised at how many are hopping off the hamster wheel. Go ahead and laugh. I really don't care.
Got mine covered and don't have to worry about getting taxed to death each year. I make too much to get back but too little to loophole like the wealthy.
Kinda stuck in the middle with nowhere to go but down.

It'll be interesting to see if Obama and the Dems throw the NAACP under the bus to pass their health care bill...

Which makes me wonder... why isn't the Congressional Black Caucus fighting this bill? It disproportionately penalizes minority and low-income seniors by cutting Medicare Advantage plans.

Interesting observation. Why isn't ACORN objecting as well for the same reason ?

I like your angle. Obama will "throw the NAACP under the bus".

If I were a black man reading that I would immediately know that Obama hates black people!

Hello GOP! Where do I sign up?!

Hopefully, you would instead believe that Obama is making a mistake and contact him and the Dems to ask them not to disproporionately cut health care for minority and low-income seniors just to score a political victory.

But, that would require actual thought, so I doubt that would happen.

Good question. They probably don't realize what the outcome would be for minority and low-income seniors because they were handed the same talking points memo that padcrasher got, and didn't bother to verify any of it.

Maybe we should let the CBC and ACORN know what the NAACP knows and the Emory U study shows about cutting Medicare Advantage, and see whether they really care about their constituents - or if it's all a sham and they're just politically corrupt.
