They better pass their carbon cap & tax bill before more people wise up to this global warming farce.

This man-made global warming is a complete scam.

This scam has brought together many unlikely partners.

The corporate greed heads see a way to get rich selling green energy to the public while getting free subsidizes from government.

The politicians gain power and control over the people with laws to govern every aspect of their lives. Like the threat of taking away the social security benefits of the elderly, they use the lies of man-induced global warming to beat their political opponents over the head with. They work in cahoots with the corporations by funneling free subsidizes their way, in exchange for campaign contributions, and support thru their many corporate allies, such as multinational conglomerates like GE, which brings with it NBC radio, TV, GE Energy and its GE Healthcare division.

The environmentalists get to expand their control over the lives of people thru influencing government on legislation, and they finally get to stick it to oil, gas and coal.

The science communities get to hold down a steady paycheck, paid for with large government grants, as long as they do their part in scaring the public with tales of catastrophic doom and gloom and creating the epicycles of man-made global warming, which keeps the whole scam alive and well.

Yup, because of global warming people here in Wisconsin are complaining on the "Garden Talk" shows of WPR, that they can't grow much of anything because of the cool weather and short growing period.

I'm looking forward to global warming with the upcoming ski season. I used to fly to Utah and NH for snowboarding because it was too warm, but this year I might be able to stay local since Snowshoe and Wintergreen in WV and VA will likely get enough snow. More CO2, please?

You really need to do yourself and the rest of us a favor. Before embarking on yet another campaign to debunk Climate Change and Global Warming, learn what these these terms mean and the difference between the two. There are hundreds of these types of threads on CD alone to fill the Grand Canyon. It is quite tedious to go over this again and again. Yes, there is corporate and industry greed surrounding every issue, but in the long run doing things that will "green" the planet, will eventualy be of benefit to us and future generations regardless of which controversy it stems from.

When will people finally learn that " Global Warming " is just a catch-phrase? Not a literal or definitive defintion of what is happening.

This planet is going through some drastic, intense climate change. Climate change all over, in different regions and areas. That could be excessive heat, excessive rain...flooding, or extended droughts, or excessive...extended cold weather.

" Global Warming " is a very misleading catch-phrase that has done more damage, than good. Because people seem to take everything literally, all the time.

I think they need to take some money and send some climate scientists to some seminars on proper scientific process and maybe throw in a few math courses as well.

The terms are irrelevant in my opinion, what is important is the data and methods being used to make such claims. Again, can you explain your take on Briffa concerning Yamal?

Are each of those occurrences out of the norm? what evidence suggests such a trend? Whose research are you using to come to these conclusions? Can you name the authors and their specific research?

You don't need to be a scientist to understand that over the course of this planets existence, the climate has swung from one extreme to another and all without any help from man or machine.

Yes, we should all be good stewards of the enviornment, but to advocate the need to turn lifestyles and bank accounts on end in some false belief that we can hold off the inevitable is a lie.

If by benefit you mean full of impoverished Americans who are unable to export manufactured goods while third world nations which burn all the cheap coal they can get their hands on dominate export markets causing Americans die a slow miserable financial death, I agree.
