The Conservative Nanny State (http://www.conservativenannystate.org/cns.html - broken link)
I'm finding this pretty interesting.
What ways do 'conservatives' or more accurately Republicans act in ways hostile to true conservatism. And how to stop that behavior by both parties.
I.E. Pandering to the infamous 10% who control 90% of the wealth in this country.
Nice find Brubaker, but i do not think the issue is remotely related to Republicans and the larger problem is that unfair/unjust laws are propagated and enforced throughout our society, so all of the outcomes are always going to be unfair/unjust.
Until all citizens in this collective society agree to actually fairly compete with one another through the creation of fair/just laws, this will not change.
There is no reason any citizen should enjoy any advantage or privilege due to legislation that another citizen does not also enjoy. All legislation should be equal across the board.
We need to stop legislating unequal outcomes. If we legislate fairly and allow true competition then any eventual outcomes will reflect true market forces. This will also help get us closer to a free society.

Bob Taft was a conservative, Eisenhower was a conservative, the present foamers at the mouth are radical reactionaries.
True conservatives(few left) are generally libertarians now.

The "market" is am ideology not a fact, never been a free one, never will be one.
People need to co-operate not compete.Freedom lies in doing what is right, not in stepping on someone else.
There's the discord of political though, people define themselves in a broad sense what might fit near what they believe in...but the details are different for each individual. There will never be a true "liberal" or "conservative", just what people fit near and whatever they don't like from the evil ones are the opposite party.
