The U.S. has the distinct fighting advantage in this war -- more firepower, superior weapons and a larger fighting force -- but critics say the ongoing deliberations in Washington are putting American troops at a distinct disadvantage -- and in harm's way.

War Deliberations in D.C. May Give Taliban Advantage in Afghanistan, Critics Say - Political News - FOXNews.com (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/10/08/war-deliberations-taliban-advantage-afghanistan/ - broken link)

So many family members are fighting over there and abandoned by this government....Obama needs to either get out or send troops...this is suicide! We don't want more of our man and woman get killed over there....just because this inexperienced president can't make a decision....shouldn't the generals on the ground over there know what needs to be done, and Obama listen to them....JMO!

More troops died again yesterday due to the enemy seeing the weakness of Obama and not having what the commanders have asked for.

His excuse is lame, he needs more time to make the correct decision.

No moron, you do not have more time, you said you had a distinct plan in place to win this war, what the heck is it?

Why does it take this man so long to make a damn decision allowing our troops to be caught off guard this this recent fight and last weeks fight that cost 10 lives.

It is a total shame to see this idiot not being able to make a quick decisive decision. Almost like he is playing a game or something with your troops.

Huh? Just who do you think was in power when the war in Afghanistan started & has been going on since then? Did you consider at that time that the troops were abandoned as the focus almost immediately switched to Iraq? I don't agree ever w/war ever, however to all of a sudden forget that those troops have been over there since 9/11 & switch blame to Obama, that's just misdirected.

So what should he do if you are so smart?

Wait for another 10 months?

Get a second opinion and undermine the same Generals that he told us all that he would be communicating with and failed to do so?

What is YOUR plan then or do you need more time so more American soliders can die because the enemy sees us as weak under Obama.

The enemy have ramped up the attacks because they know the moron cannot make a decision to save his arse.

How many more lives are going to be lost because of Obama's mistakes?

Taliban fled to Pakistan with their tail between their legs and then our troops were not allowed to cross Pakistani borders so the Taliban sat back in Pakistan where they were safe. Obama gets elected and the Taliban comes back on the offensive. They see Obama waffling,...they attack harder.

So are you simply ignoring the fact that military deaths in Afghanistan have not spiked in the past few months?

Someday, you guys are going to have to stop blaming Bush for everything.

And someday you guys are going to have to stop blaming Obama for things that were started before he came into office. It makes no sense. The OP is blaming Obama for troop deaths over there, saying that they're being abandoned. Do you understand how stupid that sounds considering they've been there since '01? I'm not blaming Bush, I'm pointing out the fact that this war started way back in '01, so is everyone forgetting that tidbit?
