That, combined with giving Arafat, Kissinger, Gore, and Krugman this booby prize, does wonders for the credibility of the NP. No wonder even some liberals are stupified.

They gave it to him because he's not Bush and the international community is very happy about this. They finally have someone with the same values as they hold as President of the United States. That's why he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

The NP committee fell for American presidential candidate campaign promises? No wonder the int'l community were stupid enough to buy our worthless debt and mortgage securities. How gullible! They say fool me once...

In one article I read they stated the committee voted on him for his vision.
For what he wants to do in the future..his vision.

Default "What On Earth" ..... You Must Be Kidding !!! .....

Greeting's,

Incredible News ! ..... "Unbelievable"..... especially when we consider
that there must certainly be a list of high accomplishments to be
attained by a person to be eligible for receiving the Nobel Prize.....

I do not presume to know in the least what events or actions
for world peace the President could have possibly implemented...to
be awarded this honor.....

It is hoped that the President shall eventually accomplish
good things which will benefit "All" Americans"..... But an awarding
of the Nobel Prize to the President..... whom appears to have
accomplished absolutely nothing positive to date in regards to
eliminating the ever increasing " Global War Footing" ... & The
"Death & Destruction" of the "War's in the Middle East" and in
other locations around the globe..... is absolutely
"Incredulous"

American Presidents certainly hold a tremendously high office.....
and "Politics" of course has tremendous influence upon the "World
Stage"..... But most assuredly there are some hard working
and more deserving champions of world peace on this earth whom
were much more deserving of this honor.....

This may truly develop into quite an embarassing situation during the
next several weeks.....

It's truly time to recognize the "Real Heroes" for a change..... you
know who they are..... those men and women whom work hard and
long to make a real difference in this dangerous world..... These
are the folks who deserve our esteem and our awards.....

It's not about who's "Most Popular" and does little..... but about
who works hard and actually accomplishes some good in the
world. Thanks / M.F.

There's your answer.

I think many, many people are unaware of what the Nobel Prize is and how it's used.

I think they assumed it was something more than it is...and are retaliating using that false assumption.

Have you listened to the judges explain why they awarded the prize to him?
It's much more gratifying than 98% of the conversations about the subject on this site. Here:
