I know...ain't it grand? If people thought Bill Clinton's My Life was interesting, wait until they see Barack's book! LOL!
I know what I'm up against...I grew up about 60 miles from Cape Girardeau,
spawning ground of Limbaugh...I grew up with undeservedly arrogant racists; I know him and his hatred inside and out. Here's a little taste of how I feel:

Sanrene, I know you will find this difficult to understand. My post was not all about you -- the hurtful, rude...etc. remarks I referred to were in regard to the many many experiences with people LIKE you I have tried to rationally interact with. But with each attempt, they, like you, just kept getting angrier and more insulting...just makes you guys MAD to hear anyone with a different opinion, doesn't it?
Of course, of course, I completely understand. Your attempts are rational, reasonable and full of goodwill - that's why you mention your experiences with rude, hurtful remarks that have no relevance in this case.

I addressed your misconceptions in your previous post - I guess you felt the need to try and garner sympathy for your painful attempts to engage.

Quote:
And regarding the reps, those remarks were directed to people I am communicating with privately...you don't need any explanation as to what I was talking about.
If you don't want comments about it, which you mentioned, then communicate in private. You do know how to send PMs, right? I know what you were talking about and your reasons for bringing the "comments" to the public. That was easy.

Quote:
I'm sorry that you seem to be such an angry person -- one can FEEL the spirit of your words. But think what you want...hate who you want...say what you want...it apparently gives you so much pleasure to do so that I'd hate to deny you that fun. But that will not take away from the fact that our President has been awarded the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE.
Wrong again. Although some would say I give a wicked tongue-lashing. I also like to call out BS when I see it.

Really, why make it so personal? You made some claims, I refuted those claims and now you are pulling the "angry hate" card. Maybe if you actually stick to your own statements, the responses to those statements and not try and diagnose without a license, you won't run into trouble.

I think you misunderstand - the awarding of this prize to obama only highlights the fact of how much he has NOT done. That is a good thing and I cant' think of anything else that would have done that.

As we can see from the comments of the Left (which you completely ignore), they mostly agree with the Right - this award does him no favors.

The majority of the global community is proud and pleased that President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, yet some Americans still feel compelled to denigrate a man who has, in every way possible, been successful in his life. They would rather align themselves with Rush Limbaugh and his new posse, the Taliban, than accord even an ounce of respect or admiration to President Obama for overcoming high hurdles and becoming the highest elected official in America, and inspiring the world as well. To Limbaugh and those who'd agree with him, I would say this: You have done exactly what I knew you would do. It is no surprise that Limbaugh and others would deny their own country and side with those who have openly stated, and repeatedly, that they want to destroy America. That is what a traitor does, isn't it? Rush needs to read this article and see what a poor excuse of a man he is in comparison to President Obama, and how far from being patriotic he is. Read what they're saying overseas:

From the link provided in post #1325...

Massimo Teodori, one of Italy's leading experts of U.S. history, said the Nobel decision is a clear rejection of the "unilateral, antagonistic politics" of Obama's predecessor, George Bush.

"The prize is well deserved after the Bush years, which had antagonized the rest of the world," Teodori said. "President Obama's policy of extending his hand has reconciled the United States with the international community."

As many have said...this Nobel Prize was for the 180 degree turnaround from Obama's predecessor. It was a strong and decisive statement from the international community.

Do you even recognize that a center exists, or does everyone that disagrees with you constitute a "leftist?" I think I already know the answer but I ask anyway.

I am proud of our President. I think he is doing better than what Bush was and would McCain would have been. I stand behind him. I support him. BUT when he does or say things I disagree with, I will say it....like gay marriage.

In this case, I am proud that we have a president who won the Nobel Peace Prize. It is an honor BUT...what the heck did he do to deserve it? Even Obama must have been like "What the heck?"

The Nobel committee today is not what it used to be, and the pize is not what it used to be. So, no matter who gets it, it's not much of a prize (except for the $$ attached to it). Obama says he'll give the money to charity. I wonder which charities he will pick, and whether they will be domestic or foreign, and whether we will be told.
