Suggestions for a replacement word? I respect anyone's desire to voice their opinion in a civil manner such as these events. Unfortunately, this term has come to be used in connection with these events. I know politics and sex often cross paths but this is ridiculous....

If you are not aware of the meaning....you can always watch MSNBC or CNN....

Power Line - An obscene insult (http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2009/04/023353.php - broken link)

Don't forget to take the poll!

LOL, I laughed out of my chair when I heard what Anderson Cooper said.

I think "the people who hate taxes" would be a better nickname.

I know Anderson Copper should be an expert. Leave the term it has been so overused as to loose its original meaning and it also identifies the agenda of the speaker, much like global warming denier instead of skeptic. When speakers use these loaded terms they start from a deffensive position. They are easily beaten.

I say keep the term teabagger because for those whose minds aren't constantly in the gutter, it is a harmless term. It also makes it easy to see which so called journalists are childish, useless, unprofessional scum and it will help centrist Dems realize how far off base the CNN, MSNBC crowd that astroturfed Obama's election really is.

Your poll question and answers don't make sense... but, yes, stick with Tea-baggers... it makes me smile every time.

I would call it the freedom movement -- positive and gets to the heart of what this movement's about.
