Correct, he only ran a surplus on the general fund, but in order to do so, he borrowed from the intragovernmental funds which ran huge deficits. (i.e. Social Security)

CNN reported that the entire stimulus contained about a eqaul amount of infrastructure as the Boston big dig for the entire country.

In the meantime, President Obama has ended a recession in 9 months that it took you Regressives 8 years to build under the village idiot even though you were given a SURPLUS. International relations are improving and there is now more of a consensus approach to solving the world's common problems. He's not blindly dumping troops into Cheney's ridiculous war either, contemplating a more intelligent approach while Regressives salivate and scream for more troops in Afghanistan.

A solution to the health-care problem has made some great progress too, something Republicans have never even attempted and don't have a clue on.

Obama is getting things done as expected and promised...and don't you forget it.
LOL..like that big bailout last October had nothing to do with this ?

I love it!! All they can do is insult you..LOL..Obama is back to 56% approval, no more pirates, terror plots are dismantled legally, Gitmo is closing, albeit slowly but definitely surely, we're leaving Iraq etc. Funny how many positive things can get done when you have the right leader. We've even had honest discussions on race. I'm lovin it.

If the "circle jerk" one mentioned consists of all these things, count me in.

exactly what did obama do when he was in congress writing bills to facilitate change? people seem to forget that obama voted for all the spending and all of the bailouts as well. bush didn't write the legislation, he was just signed it. (that is not excusing him because he will go down in history as one of the worst presidents ever).

for the people who believe we had a "surplus", just look at the unfunded social security / medicare/ medicaid programs. all the government has been doing is shifting money from one place to another and now it has caught up to us.

Hilarious! The CBO said in Jan 2009, the recession would end in late 2009/early 2010, WITHOUT government intervention. Obama's failed stimulus has only exacerbated the problem.

Show me! Let's see.....obama bent over for Russia and now the Russians are not likely to go along with tougher sanction for Iran. Kim just shot off 5 missiles and Israel is threatening to hit Iran by the end of the year if Obama's talking doesn't work.

Uhhhh....it was HIS strategy, his general he is now stabbing in the back, the type of thing yellow-bellied cowards are wont to do. He has neither the will not the guts to see it through. During his 8 months, the situation has deteriorated, more troops have died on his watch than in any of the previous 7. Some CIC.

Yeah, he won a Nobel. As SNL said, he has done "jack squat".

At what point will you guys let him walk on his own?? How long are you gonna ride that pony?

He didn't inherit 10 percent unemployment. Bush kept that at 6 percent for 8 years!
