Defying U.S. pressure as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton begins a visit to Moscow, Russia's top diplomat promotes negotiation over punishment to persuade Iran to halt its nuclear program.

Hope that Russia would take a more forceful tone with Iran had been raised last month after U.S. and U.N. officials revealed that Tehran was building a previously undisclosed facility to enrich uranium. Visiting the United States at the time, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said that "in some cases, sanctions are inevitable."

Gullible. Inexperienced. Dangerous.

We've been played by the Russians. Thanks Obama.

I'm having trouble figuring out how you think we lost here?

Now US taxpayers don't have to spend Billions on some Neocon ego trip trying to stick their nose in other countries affairs on the other side of the World.

Gee Whiz that's terrible!

I am still waiting to see what Russia is giving up in these exchanges.

So far, it looks pretty one sided to me.

You don't see how we were played? Did you even read the article? The Russians are gloating over their newfound position of power between the US and Iran.

The Russians hold billions of US dollar reserves, and they are INVESTING THEM in Iran. Doing business. That's what the US should be doing, not dropping bombs and wasting more US dollars. It's not hard to see that Russia is doing the right thing, the US the wrong thing. But Russia doesn't have the Israel Lobby that we have.

Russia doesn't have to give up a damn thing.

They are not the ones attempting to project military power on the other side of the World.....LOL

We have no leverage. None.

We had all of the leverage before Jan. 20, 2009.
