Because it's aimed at the companies who get defense appropriations. Did you watch the video or read the article?

watch the video...
Since when was Jon Steward a person to be taken seriously? Even he himself calls his show comedy only.

Since the rest of our media has become so conservative.

Studies show that people who get their news from Stewart/Colbert are better informed than those who watch Fox, for example.

I just can't fathom how anyone could vote against this. Utterly disgusting.

So take the list of names who voted against the amendment that would punish defense contractors if they restrict their employees from taking workplace rape cases (among other things) to court. Take the actions of those Senators seriously.

Do you have any idea what the amendment even is?

That we will not provide funding to companies that handle rape through independent arbitration.

How does that not belong as an amendment in that bill???

Of course not. It doesn't make Obama look bad so it's not important.

This whole thing was awful; just like the Democrats who voted against stopping funding for Acorn.

If people would pay as much attention to what elected officials are doing as they do to what entertainers are doing then we could get people like this out of office.

You'll have to look elsewhere to figure out why there are so many douches in the GOP who would vote against this provision.

They had no problem jumping all over the move to deny funding to ACORN for fake crimes ... but real crimes? They have problems with that.
LOL.

The Franken Rape Amendment is SUPPOSED to be embedded in a defense spending authorization?

LOL. Come on. The democrats played politics with it, and then get all huffy when people don't buy into their plan. Comical at best.
