I think volunteering is a good thing! But I have felt that way and volunteered long before obama.

On the other hand, glad we don't pay for cable to let all that mess in.

It may backfire. I like doing things because I want to do them and don't feel pressured. Once the pressure is on I usually refuse to do anything. On principle.
