The only thing in the video that I found surprising is that the 2 guys that jumped in to help were actually both on their cell phones, yet still paying enough attention to the world around them to notice what was happening. Most people are completely oblivious to their surroundings when talking on their cell phones.

I know that whites commit more crimes (simply because whites outweigh blacks by near 10:1 in population)
But what I should have said were VIOLENT , GANG and DRUG related crimes. Blacks are arrested and incarcerated highly disproportionate to any other race in America fror violent related crimes.
I could care less about some white guy being arrested for downloading child porn, but I am constantly concerned about Crimes where innocent people (gang shootings) are killed or hurt
So thats why I should have put more emphasis on VIOLENT crimes

"Sex offenses (except forcible rape and prostitution)" would seem to be the category that would cover downloading child pornagraphy, so when you say you have no problem with whites doing this, you seem to be overlooking the fact that 24% of those arrested for doing this are blacks making them twice as likely as others to engage in this as whites. Save the misplaced condescension.
I personally am hard on minorities (for crime, etc...) and this video was astounding. Very touching!

I took a tour once of a jail to find out it was full of white people and the minorities had a pretty small presence. When someone has a prejudice or predisposition of belief they will see more of that issue that the opposite.
I suggest we are better off to stop buying into what the media portrays. Seems the camera only runs on blacks.

People downloading songs from locations they believed to be legal, only to find themself in jail and/or huge fines for the source being illegal.
People who are lied to about their partners age, can find themself in jail for underage rape, regardless of their intent if their partner is underage.
You can have stolen property in your possession, known or unknown, and still be charged with receiving stolen property.
You can walk out of a store, get sidetracked and forget to pay for a product, and your intent to pay does not mean you are not guilty of retail theft.

We are talking about the chances of the public helping a potentially abducted child or not. How is this not relevent to the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping? After all, her abductors took a masked young girl around, refused to let her speak to other people yet noone called the police.
Is that what happened here ? No.. There are 60,000 + children a year which goes missing in america, to use one as an example for what takes place in all cases is rediculous.

All this debating we've been doing I've repeated time and time again was that THE PERSON WOULD NOT GET CHARGED!
And you post a case that actually validates MY POINT. This person was arrested AND NOT CHARGED with anything relation to helping someone out!
The police wrongfully (and admitting later to have f*cked up) arrested her but she was never and will never be charged with anything relation to helping someone out!
The reason why she was detained had nothing to do with helping someone b/c the police had already arrived the victim didnt need saving
From what ive read on this story is the police alleged that she got irate and would not calm down therefore arrested and charged for resisting arrest
The arresting officer said "Because she was out of control, and I felt that she may be a danger to herself and me, I forcefully took her to the ground to control her and then handcuffed her"
Again what does that have to do with saving someone PGH????
Now the video shows that she should not have been arrested. This is more of police misconduct than anything related to our discussion
Again this has nothing to do with what we are debating
Keep talking please because you keep proving my point....you will never find someone charged for a crime in an attempt to save someone. (which is what you alleged would happen to the two young men, and why we started debating in the first place)
