Can this really be happening?

Hillary Rodham Clinton might be regretting her promise never to run for president again -- a new poll shows the secretary of state is now more popular than President Obama.

Some 62 percent of respondents rated Clinton favorably, compared to Obama's 56 percent rating, according to a new Gallup poll.
Too late! Hill tops Bam in latest poll

Already posted and, obviously, when you're in the position in which you have to make tough policy decisions that affect the entire country, your popularity's going to be lower than someone mostly out of the limelight.

Hillary's popularity has always soared when she is in a supporting role and flagged when she is in a leadership role. Charge it to her personality, her sex, whatever... but it means nothing beyond the fact that presidents make difficult decisions that are not always popular.

Where were those people last year ?

IF I were a DEM and IF I were to vote Democratic and you went back to 2008, I would have voted for Hillary. Between Hillary and Obama, more was known about Hillary and you pretty much knew what you were getting. Obama, on the otherhand, was out of nowhere with a clouded past and no leadership expertise but full of promises. Obama was "too good to be true" IMHO.

But then again, I'm not a DEM, nor a Repub and voted for neither.

So don't blame me 'cause I didn't vote for him.

No, child. My point was that this topic has already been discussed at great length. No need for your thread, unless you just wanted to take a shot at Obama.

I can assure you all that if Hillary were president now (or McCain) they would be far less popular than Obama (even if Obama were VP, as Hillary said he would be if she won).

Unemployment would still be high under any of the candidates, just as it peaked over two years into Reagan's first term and he had dwindling popularity after one year as well.

Seems like a win-win that we have Obama and Hill leading the way..I'm not sure why people are trying to spin this as a negative for Obama. Obama picked a popular and able SOS.

Child? LOL. I'm probably old enough to be your father, and no, it was not meant to be a shot at Obama. Point is, I simply dispise Hillary.
