whats that tell you about louisiana?
You mean the same Louisiana that elected the nations only Indian American governor and Vietnamese American congressman (both conservatives, I might add), that Louisiana?

with the Congressman being elected in what is by far the most liberal district in the state.
Exactly what is a US Senator supposed to "do"about a locally elected Justice of the Peace? Other than issue a bland statement, which is what most, if not all Senators, might do in the same situation. If LA is similar to other states the JP may be able to be brought up for investigation by a form of Judicial Disabilties Commission, which would then make a ruling from nothing to removal.
Charles County, MD recently had a Circuit Court Judge (way higher than JP) charged with vandalizing cars in the Courthouse parking lot. Neither Senator Mikulski or Cardin issued any kind of statement, nor did the District's Congressman, Steny Hoyer (House Majority Leader).
