In the bizzaro world of american collectivism every conceivable wish of any person should be funded by someone else. They just haven't gotten around to writing all of the laws yet

I got an idea.

Do not steal other people's money.

Whether it's just one individual stealing from another, or a group of individuals called government stealing from individuals.

Just do not steal period.

And then we would not need to make threads on an internet forum asking how we should spend the stolen money.

Now that is logical, but then that will get you attacked by the collectivists and tyrants around here for using logic. They are megalomaniacs who do not have any use for reason, they only need to use force.

The only thing the state/local gov't should do is make sure that dispensaries aren't selling anything with pestisides in it.

There's no reason for taxpayers to fund this. Plenty of affordable meds for those who need it.

Ya know I never even thought about...

I kind of have a problem with my tax dollars being used to go after people who smoke weed.

If the people want medical marijuana to be covered by insurance, so be it.

I have a problem with people using my tax dollars to provide welfare to the poor.

I have a problem with people using my tax dollars to provide stadiums, parks, and dog parks.

I have a problem with people using my tax dollars to have perpetual wars and fund public indoctrination camps called schools.

But this is Britain ... we have become what we fought so hard not to be.

Soclialized healthcare systems (as here in the UK) may look all great from the outside - but in reality I would love to scrap our healthcare with the option of taking on a private system.

Now, there are things that there are to admire about the NHS - everyone is covered, no bankrupcy filings etc but it is only 'free' at the point of use - i.e everyone that works (and this is less than you may think in our welfare cripling society) pays about 9% of your gross earnings in national insurance. Employers also pay a mandatory 11% toward the same - so 20% of your gross is healthcare!

My wife (American) had her appendix burst not long ago, and it took 4 days to have it out because she kept being prioritized below more immediate cases. This is because there is a shortage of surgeons and facilities on weekends!! She was kept on morphine and 'monitored' in case things got worse! She would swap our system for the US in a heartbeat.

Nearly everyone here who has had one condition or another will tell you of how they waited several months, if not years, to see a specialist or become diagnosed, and thats before even starting any of our state of the art treatment.

I'm not saying that the US system is all good, and that ours is all bad, but please understand that we do get universal health coverage, but its kinda crap at best Fix what is causing costs to increase so dramatically, but don't start heading toward a European style system.

As more and more people lose their jobs, a public option looks good. Strategery at work.
