Glen Beck, Russ Limbaugh, etc. are nothing more that distractions from the real problems and issue of today.

So why do so many people listen to them and not demand more truth in news?

Distractions for what? Seems to me that Beck especially does report what others won't.

I'm a registered gun toten Republican and I can honestly say I haven't listened to 1 minute of Rush in the past 15 years. Glen Beck I enjoyed breifly when he 1st came out 7-8 years ago, but I soon grew tired of him also.

I just can't stand all the constant bashing on either side, so I pick a little info here and a little info there and come up with my on beliefs

It is O'Reilly's job to censure everything that is not laughed down by Beck viewers.

O'Reilly has always been a censure.

They work together.

"There is no news in the truth and no truth in the news." - Russian saying (Russia has two well-known "newspapers", Pravda and Izvestia. Pravda means "truth," and Izvestia means "news.")

Seems we have something in common with the Ruskis

If you have some other news then feel free to share it with us here but don't be like Fox and simply try to impose your point of view on us. Give an honest analysis of what you think is newsworthy. Do yourself proud and present some honest journalism.

Otherwise, it's back to the comedy hours on Faux.

This is, after call, called Politics and Other Controversies, not the Obama Story book forum. Anita Dunn, communications director for the White House tells us... that during the campain, they deliberately manipulated the media. THAT is a distraction, but of course none of the leftist tools recognized it. They don't see it today.

Funny you mention CNN here, because is it just me or has CNN now turned their news into, "what do the viewers think", please email us, twitter, or text @ blah blah CNN.com...

If I thought Bob Dirtwater down at the autoparts store had a salient point about the nuances of US foreign policy in the Middle East, I would have just asked him. Whats the point of having CNN then? Heck, we have City-Data which is way better.
