Is military service more dangerous than being a Police Officer or Fireman?
Is it worse than working in a coal mine or an oil rig?
It's a job, I retired from the Army, I'd rather have done that than work at a desk

So...let me say this again: The is nothing wrong with military service. If I said there was, I'd be insulting many people in my family, including my father who I love very much.

However, I would feel horrible if my dad died trying to provide health insurance for me. It's a disgrace people have to go to war just to secure health insurance for their family.

In other countries your health insurance/health care is not dependent on your job. If you lose your job, you'll still be covered.

There we agree, Nationalized Health Care is my idea of solving the issue

"Nationalized"? Do you mean Socialized or not? That's just what I think. There's nothing wrong with that. I just want to be clear on what you mean.

In any case, Boompa, you and I agree on a lot of things, at least when it comes to health care.
I like single payer and I also like the way Germany does it.

Doing that, it'll be enough for anyone to afford health insurance...........especially in NJ.

Are you seriously trying to say that there are NO jobs in demand right now?

Many sectors of our economy are still hiring.

So... justification for a national health insurance system is... because its wrong to leave peoples lives up to the free market?

The free market developed and implemented life saving instruments and procedures...

X-Ray Machines
EKG Machines
Pharmacuticals
MRI
Surgical Instruments

and those are just a small sprinkle of all.. and that is just medical!

What about:

Car safety belts
Air Bags
ABS
DSC

The private sector is the LEAD innovator, not the government. The free market is responsible for the quality of healthcare we enjoy. To pull those innovations away from them, and say "you are ripping us off", and say "here government you take over their industry" is just astounding to me.

I think you might be a bit backward in your view of the free market and the true positives that it provides rather than the short sighted view of you have it in a single instance.

I am saying there are few jobs available to most people, yes. That may explain why the unemployment numbers are so high............
