Damn straight, old soldier! I salute him. I hope he lives many more happy healthy years.

As my career military fiance says: "If I'm not here representing EVERY American, then my service is wasted."

I started to make a thread about this but thanks for making one.
It's nice to see that not all of those over the age of 65 are bigots.

That's funny because I knew a Battle of the Bulge Vet who was Transgender.
He used to show up for all of these events until he died.

Maybe people mellow with age, but I tend to find a lot of people over 65 are a lot more "live and let live" than many younger people. I remember watching one of the later episodes of the Man Show and Doug Stanhope was interviewing some old men and asking them various questions about things like pornography, gay rights, drugs, and so on. While most of the old guys tended to be slightly conservative (although only one of them would be considered very conservative) there was this one old guy that was a man after my heart. He supported gay marriage and when asked about pornography he responded with, "If it is even slightly tasteful, I have no idea how any can find anything wrong with it. After all, don't we see at least one pair of private parts every day?"

If I believed in God, I would ask him to bless old folks like him.

Anyone notice how the anti-gay bigots have somehow suddenly all developed selective vision and are somehow unable to see this thread?
