Ahhh I was just going to post this...glad I searched first. I think it's cool. I would have loved to have this doll growing up
For all the people that are complaining - they can go make their own dolls.
I like it as well. I recall when my girls where younger, there was a doll out called the Kenya doll. Why it was discontinued, i'll never know. Then there were the Bratz doll, but the adults couldn't agree and it was taken off the market. Hopefully this one will be around for a while.

Cool pic. of a doll with 1970's hair and clothing style.
Cut a bunch of that hair off.....(don't worry, this is quite possible if there's a little brother in the house).....and welcome to the 80s or 90s!
Sorry, but that picture of the doll a poster showed looks NOTHING like me. My hair is much denser and nappier than that. My father, born in Akwa-Ibom state, Nigeria, has a much flatter nose with enormous nostrils. His lips are very very full. My mom's people, Ngwa Igbos, are short, darker skinned and have small noses. I am a weird blend of both, but I lean towards my mom's appearance more.
I should complain to Mattel and tell them to make a doll that looks EXACTLY like me, because imo, that doll isn't African enough.
I think dolls to should diverse, to fit the demographics of those who want a doll that looks like their "overall" people. But seriously, until we all interbreed and become that "one color race" that crazies always talk about, we're not gonna please everyone.
I could spend the rest of the night on one liners, but it's just too easy.
Yep.
