And how much blood is on Cheney/Bush hands from all the dead and maimed?

"Today, National Security Network Senior Adviser Gen. Paul Eaton (Ret.), who served more than 30 years in the United States Army and from 2003-2004 oversaw the training of the Iraqi military, responded to Dick Cheney's accusations on Afghanistan from last night:"

"The record is clear: Dick Cheney and the Bush administration were incompetent war fighters. They ignored Afghanistan for 7 years with a crude approach to counter-insurgency warfare best illustrated by: 1. Deny it. 2. Ignore it. 3. Bomb it. While our intelligence agencies called the region the greatest threat to America, the Bush White House under-resourced our military efforts, shifted attention to Iraq, and failed to bring to justice the masterminds of September 11."

You leave war fighting to the war fighters. The Bush admin relied too much on politicians, and only after they were forced to listen to the generals did we see positive results. Perhaps Cheney learned his lesson. I think 0bama is making the same mistakes all over again.

Oh puleeeze!

Then let Dick say as much. Have Dick stand up on the podium and instead of his pompous posturing, tell the American people we screwed up royally and only after the military pulled our collective asses from the brink of disaster did we learn our lesson. The have Dick say to President Obama, "Mr. President, I ask you to learn from our grievous errors. Listen to (in this case the military experts who get the most air time on FauxNews) the military leaders and to to heart their advice. We didn't and we paid dearly in blood and treasure for not having done so.

The day that Dick "5 deferments" Cheney stands up and does that, then I think that his advice and wisdom might be worth a cup of coffee and a donut.

Cheyney is not incompitent, he ran Halliburton then he diverted almost a trillion dollars to them. It's not like those dead soldiers and civilians mean anything when you're making money

If the big zero could provide a coherent game plan on Afghanistan, he could deflect the criticism a little better than having to resort to attacking the attacker.

Your beloved Bill Clinton ("I loath the military") never served. But Dick Cheney did serve, as Defense Secretary, and he did a wonderful job.

Service does not necessarily mean "combat" on the front lines. Dick Cheney has severd his country most honorably, and his service during the first Gulf War was brilliant. How dare you disparage this man!

I would ask: Have you served? Bet you aren't going to answer. Anticipating the question, yes, I am a Vietnam Vet. And proud.

What do you know about Haliburton Services? Nothing. I thought so.

Cheney was only associated with Haliburton for a short period. Haliburton has been around for a long time. It is an "oilfield services" company, and they know more about the equipment in the Middle East than anyone else; they supplied most of it! Any wonder they were the prime contractor to rebuild in Iraq? Duh. They knew the equipment better than anyone else.
