HILL AIR FORCE BASE -- The power is out at Hill Air Force Base and an employee says he and other employees are being evacuated following an explosion at the base.

The Davis County Sheriff's Office says the explosion occurred in a weapons cache on the west end of the base.

The west gate is closed and traffic is being diverted to the south gate.
