When I was new to the CPA profession I was staying in a small motel in Tucumcari, NM (many years ago). This was in the days when motels had keys. I always used to wedge a chair under the door based on the advice of a partner in the firm who also travelled NM frequently. At about two am somebody tried opening the door. The chair held. I did not have a weapon, but I told them I did and they left quickly. They actually left the key in the door and took off in a car. I woke up the owner who claimed that somebody probably kept a key so they could come back and use a room for a few hours, but that he never had any trouble or violence. I always packed after that when I could.

Me, I'd rather come out on top than garner your favor.

Would the criminal thug have asked that question to the victims in the room?

NO

Game, set, match.

Intrude no more, people will defend themselves and GOD would want her to do the same thing all over again to protect herself and her family from the scum of the earth he WAS.
