Unfortunately, the world has allowed China to become too powerful. Hopefully their cultural "cannibalism" will remain in their part of the world....because we know they can not be stopped.

Christianity does not a moral person (or nation) make. And atheism does not equate with evil doings.

America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and values. China is NOT a predominantly Christian country.
With atheism, the moral compass is strictly a personal one, and that is scary.
And with christianity (and other religions as well) the moral compass can be conveniently recalibrated at any time with godly justification....and that is very scary!
I'd rather be around people who are good for goodness sake then people who are only good out of fear of eternal damnation.
