America doesn't have an official religion, just like China. You are also making a poor assumption that there is cohesiveness amongst the "christians" in America ...

keeping trying though. It's been estimated that there are 30-40 million Chinese Christians, not bad for a so called godless commie nation.

That's what happens when you have a Godless country, like China, that is also an economic giant in the world.

Calipoppy --- I am godless, and yet I am anti abortion, what do you make of that?

Christianity does not a moral person (or nation) make. And atheism does not equate with evil doings.

With atheism, the moral compass is strictly a personal one, and that is scary.

America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and values. China is NOT a predominantly Christian country.

Nice try though.

And with christianity (and other religions as well) the moral compass can be conveniently recalibrated at any time with godly justification....and that is very scary!

I'd rather be around people who are good for goodness sake then people who are only good out of fear of eternal damnation.
