You clearly do not understand what is being proposed in the proposed healthcare reform bills; you are taking the word of "other people" about what is going on; something you accuse "liberals" of doing all the time, when, in fact, it's YOU who is doing that very thing.
SHOW ME the all the language (from any or all of the proposed bills) which talks about "death panels." Simple, roy. Do your research, pull up the bills, and show me the "money" as they say.
As for "control of healthcare" by the government, roy, I'll bet you are not turning down your Medicare benefits, or your VA benefits = "government controlled healthcare" roy.

And you are just totally sucked in by Big Insurance. Totally. Did it EVER occur to you that Big Insurance is more dangerous to you than the government? Did you know that Insurance Companies have an exemption to the federal anti-trust laws? Look up McCarran-Ferguson Act. Now WHY IN THE WORLD would Big Insurance be upset that there is an effort going on via the healthcare reform bills to REPEAL THAT EXEMPTION and make the Insurance Companies actually have to COMPETE for your business? If you aren't interesting in that little tidbit, then you are clearly a sucker for the private Insurance Companies and if healthcare reform fails, YOU will get what you deserve.
I will happily take a clerk from an insurance company. They aren't civil servants, protected by their unions and layers after layer of bureaucracy. My insurance company is a publicly traded company, responsible to their shareholders. I will take those kinds of employees any day over the dead heads that end up on the government teat.
