O'Reilly & others who started modestly and who have risen to their super-successful positions had AMBITION, something this President repudiates every time he opens his mouth, or gets shredded by actual businessmen such as Steve Wynn and Bernie Marcus, who both tore him apart earlier this week for his out-of-control regulation practices.
And one can afford college on minimum wage? I don’t know the last time you checked, but the average cost of a community college was $4,500 without housing and the average public university was $11,900 including housing.
Now remember minimum wage is $7.25. Now if an individual works 50 hours per week they will earn around $15,000 per year after taxes. Now the individual that utilizes the community college will have $11,500 left in which they will still have to pay room and board. Let’s say they luck out and after economizing and scrimping they pay $700 per month. This equates to $8,400 per year leaving them $3,100. $3,100 equates to a measly $258.33 per month for commuting costs and other miscellaneous expenses. Also remember this takes into account the individual can secure a position that allows for a 50 hour week while ignoring the difficulty of carrying a full college schedule while maintaining such work practices. The public school option on the other hand would be unmanageable on a minimum wage considering that it would necessary to secure private housing during the summer.
