Providers get, often, about 60% of what they ask for from Medicare and then have to charge more for people with insurance to make some money.

I fear that too many people who think like you just spoke up there don't even know how much it costs medical professionals to hire all the help they need to keep at work. These people think that all that money goes in the pockets of the doctor. I told my dentist the other day that I thought his price for a root canal was more than equitable since he has to pay all his assistants, and office help along with keeping up on modernization of equipment. I do wonder how many people ever give any part of this a thought. I also wonder how many know that when doctors take on new Medicare patients they will have to lay off some of their help and that will make their care less than good when it happens.

Yep, cut out Medicare. What happens when you get to that age? I guess you will want it back then.

I'm one year and change away, roy. And this whole situation scares me. Hence my post.
