I agree with your take. I agree I made a mistake. If I had to do it over again, I would probably edit or remove some of the tenets like the one Gay Marriage and probably should have included Civil Unions and the one on Abortion since it's a deeply personal issue. However, I would keep the others the same.

I also agree with this list...except #9. I can take Hannity in small doses only.

He's talking about outlawing abortion. Period.

That's effectively forcing a woman to carry the pregnancy to term.

No, I was talking about choice and allowing a woman the right to an abortion which is my belief. But in hindsight I realize it was my mistake to include this in my list since this is a deeply personal and controversial issue for both Democrats and Republicans

"6. They believe in a woman's right to choose regardless of their personal feelings on abortion"

How is this outlawing?

The "choice of allowing the right".....LOL

It's the same thing.

You're just describing the abortion question....Can they legally have one or can they not....That's what it boils down to.

And who gives a crap if this is "deeply personal"...lol

Are you a native English speaker?

What do you think the effect is if they do not "believe in a woman's right to choose regardless of their personal feelings on abortion"???

Well they outlaw it of course!

I am proud to be a conservative right winger, Some of your points I have great passion for others I am more mixed on. For example while I am generally anti-abortion I am much more anti-welfare. If a woman is having an unwed child from some random bad boy and plans to go on welfare (or is already on welfare) I would prefer she get's an abortion. Even better I would like to see the mother forced to adopt or send her child to a foster home.

I'm about 1/3th very right-wing conservative, possibly more right-wing than Limbaugh and Beck on many issues. I'm about 1/3th extremely liberal, more so than any democrat that I can think of. Then I am about slightly liberatarian, and the rest of me wants to rewrite many parts of the constitution. Because I think the election system here is a complete disgrace.

EDIT:
No it means that someone can personally reject abortion but believe that others should have the right to make that decision for herself. I am personally against abortion but I believe a woman should have the right to make that decision for herself. I meant to say I believe in a woman's right to choose which means they can legally have one.

The reason I say it's deeply personal is people from every political spectrum has his or her own views on abortion and it would be nearly impossible and impractical to include that among my 10 since you will likely exclude everyone.
