As much as I hate to see that someone was flying Mexican flag over US, the first amendment would apply here, assuming a citizen involvement.
Not when a man who had served his country, probably in Vietnam from the look of him it wouldn't. The man had laid his life on the line to serve the flag that he was defending there and since they were in the US it just wasn't real flag etiquette. Even at the UN headquarters they fly the American flag in its proper place as if it were part of the US and not the UN. I don't think the two fools that seemed to be responsible for that flag were citizens of the US either.
I kind of got the impression from that video that the mexican guy was baffled as to what was going on or more to the point, why. MR Brossert was it? should have explained to the mexican what was wrong with what he was doing.
Very reasonable statement. However, some people who laid their lives on the line don't reason that like the rest of us do.
I don't know about Jon Carry but most veterans who didn't take part in the Winter Soldier meetings so long ago would do what this man did. I especially like how this video ended.
They haven't taken their old territory back yet although some of them think they are very close. Until they do they don't have the right to fly that flag on top of or to the right of the American one.

You're right, but you're also being totally irrelevant. If the guy's motivations had anything to do with what you're describing here, he wouldn't have been flying the US flag at all.
Let's not attribute fantasy elements to this case when there is no cause.
Actually, if you burn the Mexican flag, you may be tried for a hate crime. If you burn the American flag, you will not be tried for a hate crime, but it falls under free speech.
Throwing the Mexican flag on the ground ruined it imo yea sure take down the American flag but don't cut the Mexican flag and throw it on the ground thats disrespectful to their country.

Thanks for posting that Roy. I do respect the veteran but not quite stron enough for me. I would have wiped my butt with the mexican flag and burned it on the spot.
