President made a mistake with Gates and he needs to keep out of local matters including this one and stick to what he should be doing based on the power given to him under the Constitution.

I sometimes think that people believe he was elected as their local mayor and not the president of the U.S.

This incident doesnt involve race and police - something that *is* a divisive national issue.

Maybe this is why?

Because Munchkin Rahm nearly cut Obama's tongue off after he called the Gates' police officer out for acting "stupidly." It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that, just because you are President, you don't interject your unwanted opinion about every thing going on in the country. Obama proved that he can't even opine off the cuff without having to make amends by hosting the most ridiculous of events I've ever witnessed (ie. Beer Summit). I'm not sure whether to chalk it up to a rookie mistake or just sheer stupidity.

Actually, though, this event is a good example of majority rule over the individual.

If President Obama involved himself with every horrific thing that went on in every community, he would have time for nothing else.
