Every administration strives to get public support. How they do it is different for each administration.

Don't think that this only happened under Bush. That would be a bit naive.

Too bad that there is a new generation of rubes who will buy into the next line of BS for the war. (and we know there will be another). Schools should educate the children about brainwashing, but the Pentagon, and "leaders" would wet themselves if people were onto them. Informed ? That's not the neocon way. They want you confused, scared, and addicted to something.

Exactly, bedsides, the first casualty of any war is always.......... the truth.

How much misinformation do you think we're getting out of the Obama administration regarding the "recovery"?

The new mantra for the ages......DONT trust, and verify.

Only someone that doesn't know anything about the subject would say this went on under Clinton or Obama.

The Bush Administration was paying reporters to right pro-government stories, they carried out fake news conferences, they created fake news clips.

This is typical for the main stream media and right wing supporters. They deny or defend their dirty actions when their guys are in office....then a few years later...when it turns out they really were lying and lawbreaking ....by then it's "old news"....Why are Dems continuing to bring this "old news" up? Everyone does it!

Tom tommorow had a cartoon that depicted this very thing

Default Another fine example!

New Navy ship honors 9/11 victims - CNN.com

I love the Navy (I served for 4 years), but this shows how emotion gets in the way of reason and how our DOD uses it to their advantage.

How will $billion assault vessels help find Bin laden or defeat the Taliban and Al-Qaeda???

NATO is a joke people! The Pentagon knows it, but they don't care because as long as people continue to equate 9/11 terrorism with Cold War military spending then they will keep the "war machine" rolling!
