If there is a "maker" why did it make pregnancy possible? Why just women?
Why did it create abortion?

Was it nuts?

You know, sex is not the most important thing in the world but to hear some people describe it you think if they don't have sex they will die. NOT You can live without ever having sex, it's not like breathing. Sorry to rain on your good time.

Women who never have children or just one or two children have not denyed any children a life. Natural Family Planning teaches couples when they are fertile if they want to try to have a baby and when it is unlikely they will conceive. The couple is always open to life though at all times and they know a baby can come from having sex. I wish all people knew you can get pregnant anytime they have sex. Some people seem not to know that. Even with the pill and condoms it can happen.

I have never heard of anyone who has been excommunicated from the church because of abortions. The church tries to work with those who have had one if they are contrite. Of course, if you have a person who has one abortion after another and the local church knows about it they would need to take steps to make sure the person does not try to stay a practicing person in the church since they are going against one of the most important issues against the church.

A lot of politicians who pass abortions laws to allow it are being studied to see if they should remain in the church. At least they might not be able to receive the sacraments but so far the church has been very patient about it. They may not be in the future.

It is one thing to be pro-choice and another thing to open the door for the woman of the abortion clinic and do everything in your power so she gets one.

Then why open it to other people saying they need to pickup the tab for it?

Women are the ones with a uterus. Women are the only ones who can have a baby. Sorry it was set up that way but most women like it that way.

"It" did not create evil. Man created evil just like murder of any type.

Without pregnancy the human race would die out. Pretty simple really.

Look at all the women you know and love and try to guess which ones have had an abortion and can be discribed by the words you wrote. I guarentee you know some.

How do you know? And what has that got to do with my questions????

""""It" did not create evil. Man created evil just like murder of any type."""

How do you know?? (answer: you don't know who or what created evil...the christians say a "God" created everything..that includes evil)

Without pregnancy the human race would die out. Pretty simple really.
My, my you are in a very very tiny narrow box , aren't you?

No, seriously , like the poster above, you have no idea who or what created this world....IF a "god" created the world (like christians claim) then "God" created pregnancy , abortion, ..everything. His mistake was giving the babydroppers a free will and a sex drive....if he wanted them to be breeding cattle like Repubs do, he sure goofed up...what a dope!

No, I don't think you're sorry, and you are alas also not being even remotely realistic. If you personally believe in the value of extended periods of chastity, great. Have all the chastity you want. But nothing in that gives you any balcony from which to proclaim what others must choose to do. How many Americans would you guess will choose to engage in sex this evening? There are more than 150 million of us between the ages of 20 and 60. You are presumably one of them. But just one.

No, every healthy woman could bear 20 children in her lifetime. Maybe a few more. It happens all the time in less-developed countries. Anytime you choose by whatever means not to give birth to one of those 20, you are choosing death over life for that potential child. For the sake of your own personal convenience.

Well, if you were to look into Pope Pius IX and his Apostolicae Sedis, you would know that this is doctrinal truth, but that it has been only since 1869. Prior to that time, the church simply accepted abortion prior to quickening. Abortion was well accepted for instance in colonial times, and it was widely advertised and practiced in the late 18th century. Recipes for abortifacients were commonly included in cookbooks of the time. Presumably then, any originalist interpretation of the Constitution would assume abortion to be one of the unenumerated rights protected by the 9th Amendment.
